Segment 1: Emmanuela Jean-Etienne, Community Relations Coordinator​, Urban League of Broward County​, reiterates the importance of filling out the Census to ensure that Florida's programs and services are fully funded for the real population. Individuals can fill out the census online, on the phone or by mail, so there's no risk of exposure to Covid-19. http://www.census.gov Segment 2: Guest Juliet Roulhac, Director of External Corporate Affairs, Florida, Power & Light, provides an overview of FPL's modified plans for dealing with a Hurricane during the Covid-19 pandemic. Staff members are taking extra precautions and will be prepared to handle customers who may experience a higher level of anxiety due to the pandemic. Instead of the large-scale pre-storm staging of past years, there will be smaller groups staged in more locations. Roulhac asks residents to support FPL workers by having their trees professionally pruned to reduce the risk of interference with power Iines; and asks for patience in the event power goes out in a storm, as it may take a little longer to be restored, so adequate precautions can be taken to prevent any exposure to Covid-19. http://www.fpl.com
