Urgent Alert !!! New Secret Trade Treaties = Corporate Powergrab, Threat to Democracy and Sovereignty & Militarization in the Pacific - June 24,2013

In the spirit of Paul Revere famous midnight ride warning his fellow citizens, Post Carbon Radio broadcasts presentations by activists speaking on new secret "Trojan Horse" trade treaties and US militarization in the Pacific. Called "NAFTA on steroids," the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), a new trade treaty with 12 Pacific Rim countries, is being negotiated behind closed doors to give corporations unprecedented powers over our national, state, and local laws regulating the environment, labor rights, food safety, the internet, and intellectual property rights. America's "Pacific Pivot" - plans for more military "lily pad" bases designed to contain emerging superpower China, portends a New Cold War over scare resources. We, as civil society, need to be informed to be able to resist and envision just alternatives.
