Us-Iran Agreement Is Just the First Step

Leaders from some of the world's most powerful nations are gathering today in France for the G7. This year's summit comes just after the US and Iran say they have struck a tentative deal to end hostilities and open the Strait of Hormuz. The text of the deal has not yet been made public and both sides have offered conflicting accounts of what will follow a signing ceremony on Friday. To add to the uncertainty, the agreement does not resolve perhaps the most important long term issue: Iran's nuclear program and its existing highly enriched uranium. Those negotiations are meant to be dealt with in the next two months.
