Today on America in the MorningBessent Announces Iran Sanctions Plan The Trump administration announced what they call an unprecedented series of measures aimed at isolating Iran's economy, already in tatters, from the rest of the world.  John Stolnis reports from Washington the proposed sanctions would target countries that want to do business with the Islamic Republic.  Canada Plans Retaliatory Tariffs Canada will announce retaliatory tariffs against the United States today after relations deteriorated sharply Monday, with President Trump telling Canadian leaders to “fall in line” or face consequences “far worse” than existing tariffs, as Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney accusing Washington of trying to subordinate his nation.  Correspondent Julie Walker reports.   SCOTUS Rules On Mail-In Ballots The Supreme Court gave a victory to President Trump on Monday, clearing his executive order on mail-in ballots.  However, as correspondent Ed Donahue reports, more legal and practical challenges loom over whether the U.S. Postal Service and other federal agencies can finish carrying out Trump's directives before the November election.   Wanted Massachusetts Woman Found The search for a woman wanted in connection with the death of her Police Officer husband in Massachusetts is over.  Correspondent Clayton Neville has details.   Iran’s Sanction Response Iran is responding harshly to the Trump administration’s plans to unleash crippling sanction on nations that do business with Iran following the statements by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.  Correspondent Laurence Brooks reports that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says that both militarily and economically, Iran no longer has any control – audio courtesy of CBS News.   Latest On The Nevada Wildfire The worst wildfire season in the western U.S. in years continues to claim thousands of acres and dozens of homes.  The latest place – but not the only place - to feel the threat:  Reno, Nevada.  More from correspondent Rich Johnson.   Judge’s Ruling In Clancy Trial The trial for a Massachusetts mother accused of murdering her three children continues this week after the judge in the case declined to grant a mistrial.  Correspondent Clayton Neville reports.    Trump Administration Targeting Visas The Trump administration is preparing to revoke the business and tourism visas of up to 200,000 foreigners who have applied for or are currently seeking asylum status in the United States.
