One of America’s most senior diplomats has accused Sir Keir Starmer's government of “authoritarian intentions” and warned they will legislate against British regulators' attempts to police the internet. US Under Secretary of State Sarah Rogers also cautioned against an expansion of facial recognition technology and AI policing in the UK in light of clampdowns on free speech.
