USC vs Washington Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

Washington Football and USC Football will take the field at 7:30 PM PST to face off in a critical Pac-12 matchup. USC is 7-2, but they only have one conference loss and a win in the Colesium will help revive their Pac-12 Championship hopes. However, the Washington Huskies have a formidable offense and a competent defense. Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr is the commander of their vaunted passing offense. On the year, he has 2,945 passing yards 24 passing touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions. Their offense passes for more yards than any other team in all of College Football, and they have the trench play to situationally run and give Penix endless time in the pocket. Can the Trojans beat the superior opponent at home? My prediction for this game is Washington wins in a shootout by a score of 56-45. I do not trust Alex Grinch's defense, and while Washington Football has struggled to defend the pass and stop power backs in their tracks, I think their defensive line, linebacker, and secondary groups are more robust and will get needed stops to win this game. Barring a bad performance by Michael Penix Jr, I expect the Huskies to throw for 400-500+ yards and use the ground game to keep the Trojan defense honest.
