Use Your God-Given Gift

The Church is the body of Christ, made up of many diverse parts working together under the direction of the Head—Jesus Himself. In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explains that every believer has a God-given role, and every local church must be built upon Christ to be effective for His Kingdom. The problem comes when members of the body neglect their gifts or covet the gifts of others. Paul rebuked the Corinthians for forgetting that God Himself places each part in the body exactly as He desires. When believers refuse to use their gifts, they are resisting the Lord’s wise purpose for their lives. The people who taught, prayed, gave, discipled, and supported behind the scenes may never have become famous, but their faithfulness helped advance the Gospel through figures like Martin Luther, D. L. Moody, and William Carey. No gift is too small, too hidden, or too ordinary when it is surrendered to Christ. God has a plan and purpose for you in His Church—for your good and for His glory.
