Using backup to refresh your server, laptop, and phone

There are many modern tools that can help you migrate from one thing to another (e.g. iPhone migration), but you'd better also have a decent backup. We also discuss the pros and cons of TimeMachine. It's nice, but not perfect. (Still better than anything in WIndows, though.)
