Using Football to Empower the Community | George Osoya of Football Without Borders Kenya

Sometimes we focus too much on modern, top flight football and forget about the wonderful simplicity of the game and its ability to touch lives. George Osoya, Executive Director of Football Without Borders Kenya, realized the power of football from an early age and sought out to leverage it to positively enhance his community. In his case in Kisi County of Northwest Kenya, the organization has combined football with agriculture, a local livelihood, to develop young people and help them live more secure, healthy lives. Football Without Borders Kenya is a community based organization that uses the power of soccer to mobilize youth, empower and skill develop them in the areas of Agriculture, education, women empowerment, Afforestation, WASH, Health and Football for Life.
