Using Leverage to Move a Tree

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=senorcoconut/bvubspwy We had a tree fall across one of our roads righy in yhe way for our new camper delivery!!! With no help and not wanting to cut it up (could be a precious piece of lumber!) I engineered a way to move it alone. Please have a look here at our blog post with the full description of how I dit this using nothing but leverage: https://peakd.com/homesteading/@senorcoconut/primitive-engineering-moving-felled-trees-by-hand In the end, I ended up cutting the thing down to small pieces which we used as firewood. Either way it was a fun way to move such a piece of lumber using fulcrums and leverage... balanced properly it took no effort what so ever to move really. Great stuff, I kind of wish I would film the things we do a bit more, to show you all the things we figured out living off grid as we did for a few years. We're still on that same path, but we are now tied to the electrical grid and we have running water! The building of community is still on though! ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// If you would like to support our work, please consider sharing this video, subscribing to our channel, and giving us a like.
