Utah couple creates company to help save newborns in Uganda

from Jeff Caplan's Afternoon News · host Utah's Afternoon News

A Utah couple have helped developed a ventilator to save the lives of babies born abroad. Kindall and Erica Palmer say they found out about the need from a couple of doctors who have done some volunteer work in 3rd-world countries. The doctors developed their own kind of c-pap and ventilator when they realized many countries couldn't afford the tech currently on the market. Kindall Palmer (center), Rob Brown (left) and Dr. Stephen Minton discuss revisions to the NeoLife Ventilator.
