The Utah State Legislature adjourned its 2026 general session March 6 after 45 days that resulted in a tax cut, a multibillion-dollar state budget and hundreds of new laws. Lawmakers introduced 1,019 pieces of legislation during the session, including 606 House bills, 330 Senate bills and 83 House and Senate resolutions, according to the Utah Legislature’s bill tracking system, the largest number of measures filed in state history.
