Utah Valley Adds Serbian Big Man

Utah Valley University just got a monster addition to their roster with the signing of Jovan Nekić, a 6’10”, 235-pound power forward from Belgrade, Serbia. A seasoned pro with top-tier European experience, Nekić averaged 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds last season while shooting over 57% from the field. His elite mobility for his size and exposure to elite competition in the Adidas Next Gen Tournament make him a rare find. With Utah Valley entering their first season in the Big West, Nekić’s international pedigree and physicality signal a serious push for competitiveness. Bonus: his brother Lazar also played Division I hoops in the U.S., continuing a basketball legacy that’s helping bridge continents.
