Residents won't see the sun again until Jan. 22, 2026. -During the Nov. 11–12 solar storm, Russian cosmonauts temporarily relocated their sleeping quarters as a precaution against increased radiation exposure, NASA confirmed. -A family was swept into the ocean Friday around noon near Garrapata State Park, about 8 miles south of Monterey, California, as one of the most powerful storms in months hit California.
