Us.This Sun. night, June 6th, a great number of people purchased the $49.99 USD “BRAGGING RIGHTS” PPV showdown from SHOWTIME, with a main event showcasing the undefeated & retired Hall of Fame, 5-division Champ: boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather, returning to the ring for the 1st time in nearly 4 years to face social media giant, YouTuber/Boxer(?), Logan Paul, in an 8-Rd special exhibition match – where the rules were basically made up & the points didn’t matter. The event streamed live from the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL- complete with rain! In the co-main event, Badou Jack (23-3-3, 13 KO) faced-off against replacement opponent Dervin Colina. Jack was supposed to fight Jean Pascal, who tested positive for 3 different steroids as well as EPO ahead of the bout & was removed. The 2 men, however, both took home quite a chunk of show money. The undefeated Mayweather reportedly net around $100 mil, while the 26-yr-old Paul, who’s had 1 pro fight on his record, was expected to take home around $20 mil. The exhibition match once again highlighted the huge disparity in fighter pay between boxing & MMA. Which is something our reigning UFC HW champ Francis N'Gannou decided to point out. “The Predator” went on Twitter & had this to say:"It's crazy to think that Logan Paul (0-1) just made $20M on a boxing exhibition. WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG? 🤔"N'Gannou last fought at UFC 260 in March, when he knocked out Stipe Miocic to win the HW crown.
