V is for Vino - with Vince Anter

Send us Fan MailI hate to sounds cliché but I think I have met the Anthony Bourdain of the wine world – Vince Anter is a premier wine educator – when he decided to put an emphasis on place, he decided that the best way to do that was to take you right there – to the place where the wine comes from – be it, Province, Bordeaux, Piedmont, Rias Bijas – Vince thought – why not give people the michelin star experience and take them right there – to learn the history, the culture, all about the geography and everything else that comes with place – because that is just how to get the most out of wine. Vince Anter is the host and star of V is for Vino, a wine show that hooked me immediately when I stumbled upon it, hooked many hundreds of thousands before me and will continue to hook from now into the future. Now, what people don’t see is the behind-the-scenes work, the hours of dedication and hard work it takes to bring something like this together – so Vince joined me in a tell all, to share his story, the story of V is for Vino and his reflections on his work to date. Now, in classic Tom fashion, I chose one of the most exciting interviews I’ve done to trial a new recording platform – and in classic fashion this did not go as planned and there was a slight tech issue which required some editorial magic to salvage – but salvaged it was – and in all honestly I am beyond happy with this final product, so with that a massive thanks to Vince for taking the time to have a chat. Support the show
