umbilical and towards the central spire and you it's the this main umbilical is wide enough that a small like cargo like vehicle could be moved down like a like the kind you see in airports that move fat people are the disabled about that size vehicle like pass through here pretty easily and you this guy looks nervous and you see him keep going up to his his head piece presumably the talk and you hear the muffled sounds of him trying to communicate he's not using a speaker to project you just hear it through his Hasmak here he's not getting anybody no I kind of gently put my hand on his shoulder let's just let's just focus on what we can do right now grabs are clearly down take us to a place we'll get our suits we'll see what we can do right and he with the with the grace and clarity of someone who thinks that they may die but is coming to terms with it moves down the hallway and into the central spires so as we're going so tell me about that body what do you know yeah so this is like during the like the ER or like medical drama like give me the walk and talk yeah walk and talk it's like the cameras in front of you and like facing you as you walk down so lock knows that like whenever he's been to a medical facility the nurse gathers like pre-information before the doctor comes in and then re-askes all those questions yes so he's asking all these preliminary diagnostic questions what he thinks might be diagnostic questions in relation to this event that's going on right so tell me about tell me about what you've seen about these bodies where what do you know well they were discovered in one of the wings of the diaspora housing that were are under construction we're not entirely sure it's the symptoms of whatever this is or are strange and we command no one really understands what it could be first one you've seen yourself the first one the first one in that stage of the infection yes we've been more finding what we what we think might be the early stages of the infection common signs are deep dark veins around the ear canal and eyes inability for the individual to communicate they look confused and afraid usually we one of my friends was much farther do you know how people get infected you know we're taking every precaution we're trying to quarantine people to keep them safe in places where we know the infection hasn't spread to but oh the chancellor we can't find her either so she's security officers in charge it's a mess outside of game where we was a chancellor the person that we were interrogated by yes no you are interrogated by you were somebody high in taiyashi corp yes not necessarily tied to the political wing or whatever okay yeah you basically got in trouble by like because it was there shit that we blew do the job of creating a contained air really the difference between a hazmat suit and this vac suit is the hazmat suit is maybe more specifically insulated against like liquids or acids or anything for any recent entries from anyone that has any details about the nature of this infection or the behavior of the infected okay nature of infection how many degrees of success did you get what's a array for about three hours now damn so you only have logs up to that three hour point and then comms are dead so there's no network communication traffic so the nature of the infection was the first thing you were looking for yes you discover communication between several field personnel and central legacy or in security central office describing the first reports look to be they're described as typical Diashi workers you get the kind of stuff that like cops would be like oh it's just classic these they're just they're pissed off about wages again or like another ships been delayed so yeah initially it just seems like people were upset and angry and there were instances of assault and several people had been cut up and and beat up yeah and over time over the next few hours you get more and more reports of these happening in the sub levels of wing three which is or location three is what we'll call it but the Diashi Corp housing part of the station okay and the reports become more and more violent use and I think we watch as you scroll through and we do that that shot from like silence of the lambs where she's going through like the newspapers and it's that just that close a micro film yes and it's just like but instead we're seeing like the close-up of the of your computer monitor and we're getting like the big bold words in the report like multiple individuals bitten cannibal possible question mark taken into custody too violent to be placed with other prisoners so you're getting these reports of an initial infection that looks like when it starts people become super naturally violent and or not super naturally that's not like it's they become extremely unnaturally violent they cannot communicate and it doesn't look like they understand communications to them right but it does look like they communicate to each other in some weird way so Albert pauses at that and his mind races with ideas of what this could be immediately it seems like a parasite but then having seen the person on the ground covered in the goo it seems more macro level than that and also the fact that they communicate with each other means that this organism is somehow self-replicating and is intelligent enough that it can have its own communication and so it would make sense for any kind of virus to like alter someone's language center the same exact way unless it had intent to do that and so then his mind goes back to his dad and thinks about the AI that his dad was working on for just a brief second then he comes back to reality and says to lock we need to additional clip of ammunition for his pulse rifle so total six combat firings okay are you familiar with weapons like this yeah okay here you go I hand it to him thank you and I mean this thing is these are one some of the most weapons in space I don't know your combat rating is I'm sure it's not as high as me but it doesn't matter that's a funny thing yes I am here you go yeah yeah cool so yeah the pulse rifles are just how are they in I mean they're basically described from alien right they should that's the main weapon of the space marine yeah or the colonial marine or whatever you like mishmash if you've ever been like in a like a skyscraper where you've got like different floors or different offices for different companies you find like large sections are for ex-company and access shafts and mechanics like a mechanical ventilation and these trails all along the hallways like lead into these various holes and you come to a uh a four-way intersection well you round a corner come to a four-way intersection not the intersection you see that there are men in well not mesh and say that there are people in red and white hazmat suits with guns and flashlights and you your eyes are immediately blinded by flashlight like in your eyes and you hear a man's voice the whole whole story you are I stop who are you doing you are my name is Frankie Murondo I was up just holding up on this station wait I where's the chancellor she should move lay down put your weapon down and lay down on the ground this guy needs help real bad comply or you will be fired upon so I set him down and I'd lay down you hear the sounds of like boots steps come towards you and maybe in the corner you look and see that most of the men with the light out of your eyes you can better make out their position at this intersection they've got barricades set up and two of them are at the barricades with guns pointed at you and then two more have come out and are walking towards you and they are scanning like the walls and the ceiling behind you and they one of them checks the guy first it's one of ours get the medic over here and they pick him up by his shoulder straps and start dragging him towards their barricade there's it there in the walls no shit we know that how'd you get here I was in the whatever it was called I was in the barracks that I was staying here which acts how did you get in here which acts as way did you get through I follow the directions from that guy you just drag drug away fuck and you see he turns to one of the other guys and they're having a conversation I think that means checkpoint three is gone yeah we need to move back we need to move back to the we need to move back to the port now y'all need to get to the central spire we're in the central spire oh good well then I'm just gonna carry on my way then and don't mind me but I did kill one of those things back there and there might be another one coming this way but they're over here and you hear the sound of a pulse rifle the sound is so loud and deafening because you're in this hallway and these things are meant to be used not in a confined space like this and have you been around guns like shot him so you know especially if you've been in a gun range like just the hollow like being inside of a tin can sound in the like river variation yeah you feel it in your eardrums the sounds of gunfire come from the other side of the barricade it hits you in your chest yeah and the two that we're talking to you immediately pivot away from you and you feel the flashlights like come off of you we're no longer looking at you and you hear the sounds of shooting come from the intersection where this checkpoint is so is it like dark in the station mm-hmm the lights have changed from the normal like day or night illumination to the just amber emergency illumination because it makes a lot sense for lighting to be bad when there's an emergency right I've always thought that it's like you would think it'd just be white light everywhere so oh I can finally tune this little thing that saves us all red the company's an installer like red and flashing yeah a lot of like loud clacks just blasting out of various places go to emergency mode make it very different to work everybody like the companies that install it are like do you want the hissing pipes we'll take the hissing pipes as long as we get the flashing reds well you've already paid for the flashing red package so the hissing pipes actually come with that and for an extra charge we get the dangling change value i think amber would the barricades are these like you shaped metal steel objects that have like gun ports in them and on the front is just it reads like los legacy orange securities and uh no one is looking at you right now you see that the five security officers have their guns trained the opposite direction of you and are firing fully automatic down this corridor at whatever is down there okay the light from the muzzle flash of their guns illuminates and creates like this flickering bright light in the corridor so is there any indication of where the other directions go like does this go towards the whatever this goes deeper into the central spire and this would go like around like around the perimeter of the spire so if we think of the spires set up in like rings yeah yeah um where the shit is coming from is in from the center of the ring and these other hallways you're left to right would go presumably around the perimeter of the ship okay tight so I want to hop this barricade that's in front of me and then take up left my left okay oh you just leave these guys oh you can okay great yeah yeah no problems I stole my gun right yeah fuck yeah um and you know jeans diamonds sorry help me and you hop over the barricade and you see that there's like there's some supplies here there's like some some more gear if you wanted to spend more time to take stuff you totally could but if you just want boxes and med packs like unconscious then there's like bullets empty shell cases that are like hitting him in the head is there like lying there is there like a medic kit yeah okay sweet I'm gonna pick homeboy up and a medic pack and we're gonna take off left down the hallway rad yeah I don't think I'll let me in without him rad let you know where anywhere he's like a big fancy heavy key card it's mostly abandoned uh but there is a custodial uh area that has like a bunch of mops and buckets and stuff that they would use to clean um there's some other rooms but you you presumably this is an area that if you wanted to treat him you could okay yeah I'll do that and as far enough out of the way um you've like me under down some hallways and some left some rights I do a quick sweep of this area uh make sure there's nothing fishy going on no smells like beef cool and uh I lay this beef cake down and they can feel better oh um all right so like uh first aid kit he's got a thing about like doing it when you know you might die no yeah evolve in there go out with a blaze of glory it's hard to focus so uh first aid adds plus ten percent it never happens to me because i'm never that i'm almost gonna die scenario yeah it really lived so it's kind of like you know auto-erotic asphyxiation but like without all the plastic bags and then yeah yeah dimming the coffee mic so inside of the uh medical kit um you find six stim packs stim packs are really good uh you can also get addicted to them if you use them too much but what they can't what they do is grant immediate 2d 10 health and increase strength and combat by 2d 10 each for 1d 10 hours um so you can this guy's bleeding is no longer a problem because you fixed that earlier but his uh like lack of consciousness is a thing so if you want to use a stim pack on him you could to like revive him and get him so you're not like dragging this fatty boomba lad y'all over yeah i i want to stab him with my stim pack okay um okay so yeah heading into the central spire well i'm sorry all right yeah go um you head through a book and the further you drive in here the further you see that there is like been some heavy combat that has taken place here you see like bullets uh pockmarked walls but no bodies until a deck plate like explodes from the ceiling and slams into your little supply vehicle make a piloting or is that driving I don't think we've ever leveled up so leveling up and let's do this So you can we're gonna be level two. Okay, you can improve one stat by five Okay, so sorry here's what you get you pick one major improvement either improve one stat by five and another by three or Improve two saves by four each. So you choose one you either add you increase your stats or your saves Once you do that and you certainly don't have to do this now we can do this offline, but These are all the things that happen on level up you do one of those okay, you get to pick one minor improvement you either gain one resolve Remove one phobia or addiction or heal all stress and then three the last thing that happens is you gain skill points you all gain What oh gain two skill points, okay? Yeah, and like a trained skill is trained skill costs one one experts cost two masters cost three okay tight, okay?
