VA7, Ep. 1 Emergence, Epiphanies and Buried Mirrors

  The end of 2023 was the like the year in its totality; heavy with crisis and catharsis. The effigy we made to represent Mr. Old Year burned magnificently. As I ponder the subject of Emergence, I reflect on our current relationship with reality as reflected and perpetuated by our media landscapes. I share a current example of Emergence in the Amazon and I introduce the book that will guide us in this 7th season: The Incredible Incas and Their Timeless land, by the discoverer of the origin of the Amazon river, Loren McIntyre. Hoping to create some sympathetic magic, like the rock art depicting the hunt before the act itself, I will create a model of the Amazon River and forest this year, and I will document the process as it unfolds. Perhaps the Emerald Forest can respond as nature so often does, with epiphanies and rebirth.
