In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. Before Cursed Alls and things like Confid Mears and Dibic Boxes became internet famous, Hollywood actually had an infamous cursed object of its own.
This one is tied to glamour, obsession, sudden death. And this one, you know, when you think of a cursed object or a haunted object, you think of something that's hiding in an attic or maybe lost in someone's basement. But this one was actually just worn every day, proudly, openly photographed as the owner was out and about. And it was associated with one of the most famous men of the time.
And today we are going to talk about it. It is a ring linked to Rudolph Valentino. And this ring is said to bring tragedy and just all sorts of awful things to anybody who possesses it. So whether this ring is really cursed, haunted, emotionally charged, or whatever perfect storm of superstition, it is a story that survived for nearly a century.
And we are going to look at it a little closer. And tonight we have... Castle, just castle. There's nobody else here.
Get all about this. I'm looking through the camera and I can see Chad laying in bed and he looks like he's at a pose that you'd expect to see if you were going to like a viewing like in a casket. Like he's just like down flat on his back. Like I said, he's dropped up his arms down to his side.
Pail looking. Raymond, can you poke him with a stick and make sure he's alive because I'm not sure he's alive. No. But in the reports, Drake, who's usually here with us, is also at home laying down in a similar position with his wife currently poking him with a stick because he's also dead.
The way we make the order of him and Chad have been hanging out and like sharing a soda or something and they're both dying. They both have the ick. And he's holding hands. He's in there locked, skipping down the street, traalalalalala.
All right. I know until they're both sick. Yeah, I was going along. I'm like, all right.
We're down to Chad but we still have Drake and then Drake texted, like, I got the stick and I was like, oh crap. So that's all right. In this case, we could refer to him as an angling Chad. He's not a pregnant Chad so if you know there's that.
There's that. We do have some investigations to talk about which will be interesting because neither Castle nor I were there but we do have info for those on you. But those investigations are sponsored by Castle PhotoArt. Castle PhotoArt.com.
It is February. Spring is right around the corner. Book now. We do headshots.
We do weddings. We do senior photos. But like I said, book now because lots are looking fast and spring is coming. It's going to be warm.
The trees are going to be leaving flowers blooming. So let's get you guys on the schedule. So Castle PhotoArt.com and I'll make you the beautiful. I'm not sure how much cases are going to be beautiful.
I'll make you look good. So we want to give a shout out to our Patreons. We love you guys and we mention you every podcast but that's because you're worth mentioning every podcast and more. So thank you so much.
If you have not yet become a Patreon, it's time to do so because we've got some fun stuff and good boxes every week. You get special information. You get special podcasts and it's just a lot of fun. So jump on to about paranormal.com and become a Patreon.
Also by the time you get this, hopefully there's still tickets but we are going to the wild vessel on February 14th. We've never done like a holiday investigation before and so for us it was a little bit of a gamble but we jumped in and decided to be brave and do it and it is so far been wildly successful. We are going to have a charcuterie board. We're going to have a pastry tray and some other fun.
We have never done this kind of a thing at an investigation before so I don't want to use trinket. That sounds trivial but it's a very cute trinket that you get to make and take home with you. And on top of that we told you last podcast or two that we have a new reception center venue but we have a new venue and we're not going to release what that is yet because we're having a contest. So hop on to our Facebook page either WISPS or Advanced Paranormal Services and tell us where you think this new venue is.
The winner, the first person who guesses it correctly will win a supernatural hour 40 ounce tumbler. And if I don't start seeing a right answer here in the next week we will actually reveal the winner when we book this place. We've contacted them. We're getting everything all right.
It's not a matter of if it's just a matter of when at this point. So we will announce the winner then but if I'm not seeing any right answers I'll say in a week or so and I'm not saying if I've seen it yet or not but if I don't see any right answers after another week I'll start throwing out some hints. So watch for that. You just need to email us, you can hop on our website, you can hop on our Facebook pages against Paranormal WISPS and put where you think it's going to be.
Our March investigation will be the one that we've been talking about in the reception center. This one I think we're going to have probably end of April. You will know the answer to that at least by maybe the first part of April. Also last thing it seems like we have a ton of information before we jump into our topic today.
But last thing is I don't think we've ever been able to say this for our group before we have a council but we are at our member cap. Yes we are. It's interesting trying to balance needs versus there's so many good people and we've had so many good people join the team and there's so many more who would like to join the team but it's you can have to limit how many members you have or it gets crazy especially trying to staff investigations because when a homeowner calls and says hey you come check out my house you can't show up with 40 people. It doesn't work very well but you also need enough you can staff public events and then sometimes you just people aren't available so you need enough people that you can say any people and you can reliably get six or seven people to an investigation.
So we have hit our cap and honestly we just had our Christmas party, the late Christmas party and it was wonderful. I don't think we've ever had such a good group of people since we've formed a team up. It's just a good solid group. We had a lot of fun.
I had a lot of food. I had a meeting. It was amazing. It was really really fun.
We've had a lot of members before but you have those that are active and those that join up all going home and then life just gets busy. We get it. But right now every single member is completely active so it's awesome. Alright so let's talk about Valentino's clustering.
We picked Valentino because it's February trying to look for something a little Valentine's and what's more Valentine's even someone whose name is literally Valentino. I like it. I like it. Okay so the history of the ring.
Let's talk about this a little bit before we jump into the cursed part of it. So this ring if you look it up online it's Tiger's Eye is the gemstone and it's set in silver and it has the style of it is just consistent with late 18th or late 18th, late 19th to 20th century men's jewelry and I'm looking at a picture of it right now. It's got some braided filigree around it. Very masculine looking but I don't say pretty because it's a men's ring but it's not harsh if that makes sense.
It's a pretty ring but manly. And if you research into Tiger's Eye it actually has quite a history that travels across multiple cultures. For example in Ancient Rome, Tiger's Eye was often worn by soldiers and they used this because they believed it gave them courage and protection in battle. If you go back and look at some of the Eastern traditions they believed that it balanced confidence and emotional energy.
And a lot of cultures I will say be careful because there is some folklore that says that Tiger's Eye can turn against the person wearing it if you wear it with arrogance or if you're reckless about it you know basically if you're not giving it respect. It's funny you say that because I would think that somebody who's in Hollywood even for the century who's wearing this Tiger Eye ring I think it would be hard to be that famous and well known and not develop some of all arrogance so I can see where maybe there's some truth to that that it can turn against the wearer with arrogance. Oh absolutely I read that too and I was like hey I'm starting to see a connection here. So the fact that it's a Tiger's Eye set in silver and Tiger's Eye has a meaning which dig around and silver also has some symbolic meanings.
Some of those are that it's traditionally associated with the moon. Some say it is associated with intuition and protection so that goes hand in hand with Tiger Eye so it seems like a natural pairing. A lot of people a lot of cultures will use a talisman made of silver in order to ward off negative influences and negative forces as it were. So let's go to the ring itself.
There's a version of the story that claims the stone was removed from an ancient burial site which I don't know if it's true or not but that is just instantly going to put this ring in the don't mess with that territory. Don't steal stuff from ancient burial sites we've talked about that before so that's not helping. Generally a bad idea. Exactly.
So whether cursed or not this ring already carries, there's a lot of symbolism tied to power risk, protection, fate long before it ever got involved with Hollywood. Silver's been around a lot longer than Hollywood. Tiger's Eye has been around a lot longer than Hollywood so it's already got that going for it. So we're talking about the arrogance thing.
Let's talk a little about Rudolf Valentino and I don't know the man maybe he wasn't arrogant but like I said I think it'd be hard for any of us to be in a state where we're like a Hollywood megastar which Rudolf Valentino was really like the true first Hollywood megastar but I think it'd be hard to be in that position and not have some level of self-importance from arrogance. Valentino he lived during a time of superstition was common and that's even among a wealthy famous people. Like nowadays the wealthy famous don't really buy superstition as much as they did back then but back in those days it was a big deal. So Valentino reportedly wore the ring frequently and was known to be really fond of it.
At the height of his success he was under intense physical and emotional strain. He's dealing with being famous, he's dealing with movies and this isn't the Hollywood of today where you've got all kinds of makeup artists and you've got stunt people and stand in so he's having to do a lot of the stuff himself. So the studio events were brutal. On top of that his public image was carefully controlled which left him not a whole lot of room for rest or privacy.
He's out seeing people, newspaper folks who've fallen around the paparazzi if you will, were after him. So when he got suddenly ill of age of 31 it shocked the world. They weren't really expecting him to get ill at such a young age. So after his death people were being retroactively attaching meaning to the objects connected to him especially this ring.
So at 31 he got sick. He was under a lot of stress and the illness he had actually that killed him at age of 31 was he had an ulcer that ruptured. I'm sure the pastor of health is stressed. But again everybody rather started to be like what caused this and everybody focused it on this ring.
What happened after that? Where's this legend? What's going on? So it didn't stop with Valentino.
It kept going. So there were several other owners and what they're calling handlers of this ring after Valentino died. And the things that they report are sudden illnesses, precaccidents that they can't really explain, financial issues. And some people say not even to financial issues but financial ruin in the cases of some people.
And then there's been just a lot of unexplained bad luck with anybody who has owned it. So one of the stories that you hear over and over is about a man who owned the ring and ended up dying in a car crash. What was he trying to do with his car? Well we did.
We got to the car. Right? Well we're just glad that he and James Dean didn't get together and hook up in there saying he had a cursed car. So there's another story that talks about a jeweler who handled it and didn't even own it.
Just a jeweler handling it. We don't know if he was looking at it fixing it holding it while it was in the process of being sold. Who knows. But this jeweler suffered a whole series of disasters in his personal life and even at work.
He just did these disasters followed him. So whether this is all exaggerated or if this is the true story, there's still a pattern. And the pattern is so regular that it's given the story its meaning and it's why we're talking about it in this podcast today. So there are enough incidents that have happened to different people and serious enough incidents that people have become afraid to wear or even touch this ring.
It's just, nope, I don't care if it belonged to Valentino, I don't care if it's famous, I don't care if it looks cool. We don't have anything to do with it because we don't want to invite that stuff into our lives to our homes. So eventually they say that the ring was locked away, maybe buried. I don't think we know where the ring actually is anymore.
But the hope of this was to stop the curse from continuing or affecting other. All right, so let's ask ourselves. Was the ring actually cursed or wasn't something else? It could be either or could be cursed.
It could just be superstition. I remember when I was a kid, I was very superstitious about Friday the 13th. I remember riding my bike and I was eating a tomato out of the garden. It was delicious.
And I fell in my hand, I ran over the bike and I was convinced that I was bad luck for Friday the 13th, but it could have just been that I was clumsy. So we'll see. What's the deal with this ring? So one theory suggests the ring wasn't cursed but just psychologically charged.
Like enough people just believe the ring was bad that it basically absorbed that psychological negativity and became cursed, if you will. So once people lead to it as dangerous, every misfortune became proof. Kind of like me dropping tomato in front of my bike while I was eating it and smushing it. Normal bad luck took on a superstitious meaning.
So I've got this ring. I said my toe, the ring is cursed. Let's look at it from a paranormal perspective. Objects can act as energy anchors.
But if enough people handle this ring and enough people believe this ring is cursed, it can become like a tolpa where enough people believe it becomes that. If that makes sense, psychologically charging this thing. Emotional attachments can also imprint their meaning onto an item. So if we look at Valentino's intense life, his passion, his fame, the pressure, he may have loaded the string with this negative emotional energy.
And the ring becomes less of a cause and more of a symbolic trigger. So it was really the cause but it just absorbed the synergy and becomes by its very nature. A negative item without actually having any spiritual attachment but just like negative psychological human energy. Which I mean if we talk about pulleder guys we know that's a possibility.
I think our minds are far more powerful than we know or give them credit for. I think that's the case with this ring. I think if Valentino was able to focus enough negative energy on it, whether knowing we are not and enough people bought into that, I think willing it into being can actually have an effect if that makes sense. Oh, absolutely.
Absolutely. So you think about it, Hollywood, hysteria, myth-making, they all go hand in hand. And I kind of laugh because my daughter and I and Chad, we watched Bye Bye Birdie a couple weeks ago. And you think about Bye Bye Birdie was the spoof on Elvis.
They've got the women fainting just because he's out there waggling his hips and you think about the Beatles and people were screaming and you're unfainting because it's the Beatles. Valentino in his time was such a handsome dashing A-list movie star that his death caused actual mass public grief. There were fans fainting at his funeral. People say that there were riots that reportedly broke out and early Hollywood really thrived on these dramatic narratives.
And nowadays they get really old. We got a lot of drama going on in the world today. Then it was, I don't want to say new, but it was maybe the lack of social media but maybe it wasn't something that you engaged in every day, not engaged in but you were witnessed every day or pushed on you every day. But early Hollywood just thrived on it.
And so if you have a cursed object, that gives the public something tangible to blame. And maybe blame is not the right word but that you can associate these things happening too. And the fact that it belonged to someone so famous just fueled that whole thing. And so then you've got this grief that turns into legends.
So how much of it is true? How much of it is not? We don't really know. But studios and newspapers, they had zero reasons to shut the story down because it fueled readers and it also kept Valentino relevant even after he passed away.
And so this is where you've got history that blurs into folklore. So why does this crystal matter today? I think the story it endures because it combines a few things. It combines fame.
Everybody's interested by fame. Fame is one of those things. Even today we've got paparazzi, we've got people falling the rails around. Fame is interesting to people.
Beauty. Hollywood people are typically, unless you're Steve Busimi, beautiful people. Well, that opinion's much going on there. I don't disagree with you.
I've heard he's a nice dude but he's a weird looking dude. Anyway, I'm sure he's probably saying about me. Here we go. Some death.
I think people are interested in just like seven tragic death. 31's young. That for me was 20 years ago. When I think about it.
I was actually surprised he was so young that when he passed away. I did a double take when I read that. I was like, is that right? Right.
And so I think it shocks all those when somebody young dies like that. They get sick and boom, they're dead. And then the other thing on top of it, there's a physical object that people come point to. I think we're all get fascinated by that.
There's a whole museum in Vegas. It's like back on some museum of cursed objects. People are fascinated by that. Annabelle, people are fascinated by Annabelle.
So if we've built this legend up around this ring and Valentino's death, I think people just really can connect with that whole physical object thing. And the other thing with that is I think cursed objects are compelling to people because nobody truly wants to be haunted. No sane people truly want to be haunted. But we hear about things like Amity Vailing.
We hear about all the different cases from the Conjuring and the Warrens. And to know that there's an object that makes a haunting portable, I think it's interesting to people. It's like, oh, this doll or this ring or whatever. If it goes somewhere, then weird stuff is going to happen wherever I take it or find it.
Weird stuff's going to happen. So I think the objects drop people in if that makes sense. So whether this ring was truly cursed or not, it did become part of Valentino's legacy. And it does reflect how humans process tragedy.
He's 31 years old. He dies. And people are focused on this ring. And we're going to blame the ring.
And so I don't know if that's a psychological tool that we use to place blame somewhere. But I do find it interesting. So the real haunting might not be the ring itself, but they need to believe that something external causes such a stalking loss. I think the way people focus in on that's like, oh, he's 31 years old.
He died. What could have been? And again, I think we go into the territory of Atulpa, which is if enough people believe it and focus enough psychic energy on it, it will itself into being through mass willing, if you will, if I say will enough in that sentence. But do you understand what I'm saying?
It's just enough to believe it becomes what it is through psychic energy. Well, and you think about it. We've talked about this before. Objects can be cursed just by intent.
So if you get enough people believing that this ring is cursed, it's possibly just cursed by mass intent, mass, mass, believe that it's cursed. Exactly. I totally believe that. I believe that's possible.
I think that's the way that I think about it, whether it's cursed, whether it has some sort of spirit attachment to it, whether it's just mass intent, mass belief in it, and it's just self manifest, almost doesn't matter. You think about it, Rudolf Valentino, he died young, he died unexpectedly at the height of his popularity. He was big back in the day, way, way, way before my time, but I do know that he was big back in the day. But this ring became the thing that people pointed to when they needed an explanation.
Oh, this ring is cursed. If you didn't have this ring, he would still be with us today, whatever it is. But people need a reason. I think people in general don't like the unexplained.
That's one reason, Casa, while I think you and I do go to the end of this because we're trying to explain the unexplained. Just really quick, I mentioned in the last podcast, I'm like, oh, we're pioneers. No, we're not pioneers. We are not pioneers.
There are people who have been doing this forever. The warrens are pioneers in the field. But I still think that as far as study of the paranormal goes, we're still in the pioneering phase, and there's still a lot that we're trying to figure out. Yeah, I would agree with that.
And again, I think that a known, learning about the unknown, experiencing the unknown, trying to explain the unknown is a drossus to the field. I still every time I walk into a home or into a venue that we're going to investigate, there's still that thrill in the back of my mind of what am I going to see today? What am I going to experience? What do you pee some time to capture?
What are people going to levitate off the ground and vomit pee soup? I don't. I never know. Sometimes it's super interesting and super neat and you experience really interesting neat things that you don't get to experience every day of life.
And sometimes it's pretty mundane. You just never know. And that's what keeps people coming back to investigate over and over. Absolutely.
We're actually going to a residential tomorrow where the homeowner called me a couple of days ago and he says, I just, he says, I feel really bad. He says, I'm really worried that I'm going to waste your time and you're going to come out here and there's nothing. And the way I explained it to him is I said, well, it's like, if your shoulder hurts, maybe you slip on it weird and your shoulders are just hurts and it'll feel better tomorrow. Maybe you tore a muscle, but you don't know unless you go to the doctor, right?
And the doctor will either say, oh, it's a poor muscle or just take some of my proof and he'll be fine in the morning. Same thing with the residential. If you think something's going on in your house, don't hesitate calling us because you're afraid there's nothing going to happen. Oh, we like it.
If you get to the point where you're calling Ghostbusters and I'm using my air quotes, if you get to the point where you're like, I need Ghostbusters to come to my house, there's something going on. And whether it's paranormal, whether the EMF is just really high in your house, we can't come out and say, oh, it's absolutely paranormal. But we can say there's some things going on that we can't explain. We've got this voice on our recorder that we can't explain how it got there.
We've got this picture that we can't explain and or we could go and we could say, you know what, you don't have anything. You just have major power lines going over your house and maybe that's what's making it feel creepy, but you don't know unless someone, you got to start somewhere, right? So. Exactly.
Exactly. All right. Let's give a shout out to our friends at Radio Ronan. If you have listened to all our episodes, then you need to order a radio runan.
We're part of the Radio Ronan Network and it is a wonderful, amazing, it's like a morning show without the shitty music part in my French. A really good morning show without the bad music. Always entertaining. They publish twice a week.
So go over and listen to our friends at Radio Ronan. All right. So let's jump into the jump drawer. And this is sponsored by the Huey's Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center, which is more easily known as Pace.
And we were kind of looking over our schedule because we're getting to the point where we're scheduling up, clear up into April at this point. Or May, really. And Huey's is on our schedule for later in the year. So if you missed that and you wanted to come, don't fret, we will be there again later this year.
So since we're staying in the Valentine's theme, we are going to talk about the bride of Just School Hotel. And we're just going to keep along that whole Valentine's theme, so a bride. Not that all brides have to be married at Valentine's, but you know, so this one happened at the Just School Hotel in Austin, Texas. And this hotel has just a long history of reported hauntings.
People have been talking about all sorts of hauntings there for years and years. And the one that's the creepiest and the one that's shared probably the most is the story of a bride. So according to the lore of the hotel and different things that staff has said, there is a young woman who checked in in the late 19th century and it was supposed to be her honeymoon. And it wasn't long after she and her husband got there that her husband just suddenly died.
Some people say it was an accident, some say it was illness, but the outcome is the same. I know, right? So now we need to check up on some of the other ones. So the outcome is the same, right?
She is alone in her hotel on a night that was meant to be a celebration. So they say that she was so distraught that it wasn't too long, obviously, because apparently she took her own life that same night. We talk to guests that have been in this hotel over the years and you talk to staff. They say that encounters with this bride are really more personal rather than theatrical.
She's not trying to, oh, look at me unghost, I can do things. It's more personal interaction. People describe waking in the night to the sensation of someone tugging at the bed covers, almost like they're trying to share the space with you. Some of this could be too personal.
I don't know how I want to ghost getting in bed with me. That's looking good over and coming in. Other guests say that they have lights turned off and on without explanation, even after maintenance has come and checked for electrical issues, which they haven't been able to find. A lot of guests, interestingly enough, mostly women have said that they felt someone standing close to them or brushing past them in the room when no one was there.
But there is a detail that I personally, I think it's the most disturbing and others have said that it's the most disturbing. So I'm not by myself. It's something that involves mirrors. And what guests have said is that they see a woman in white reflected briefly in the mirror, only to turn and then they find the room empty.
So if you go into the hotel and you talk to the hotel staff, they don't broadcast it, but they will acknowledge quietly on the down low that these reports have seen this white woman, especially in the mirror, increases during weddings, anniversaries, and right around Valentine's Day. So this is going to be about not only the time that it would have happened, but also when the hotel is filled with a lot of couples and a lot of heightened emotions and happy things going on. What makes this haunting and settling isn't aggression or fear or some of these other things you might associate with a haunting, but it's consistency. They say that the activity is described as quiet, restrained, sorrowful.
One of the guests told the staff it felt like someone who didn't want to be alone anymore and I thought that was just kind of sad. I'm sad. Speaking of sad, I'm sad that I'm going to throw the tails lately. Have you ever moved to a building yet?
They did. So a bunch of friends and I go there often when I say often, a couple of times a year. I'm all like we're going every week. And I know the owner is quite well.
And so I texted the wife and I said, because they've been on the cusp of moving now for quite a while, and so I texted her and I said, hey, we're going to be there on the state. Are you going to be in the old location with a new location? And she says, text me the day of and I will let you know. So I actually texted her the night before and she said they're in the new location.
So don't go to the one on State Street. Go to their new location, which is unpleasant growth. And that I can pull up the address for you right now. Good, because I want to go there because their food is amazing.
Oatails is like, it's Mexican food for those who've never been, but it's like chef Mexican food. It's like really high-end, really well prepared and utterly delicious. Yes, and if you go to our TikTok, the last thing I posted as of recording right now is some of the food that's there. And I'm sorry, but pictures don't even do it justice.
It is so, so good. So their new address is 564 West 700 South sweet 401. They've got the name on the back of the building. They don't have it on the front of the building because they decided that they wanted windows on the second floor rather than the name.
You'll see, this is hard to find. It's what I've said. Yeah, 564 West 700 South sweet 401 hop on over to TikTok to see some pictures of their food. Delicious.
Speaking of delicious, are you ready to do the DB? Alright, let's do an EVP. So the EVP I'm going to play this time is a little bit different. I believe last time we did the want to play EVP from Union Station and before then, did we do the great EVP before then?
I can't remember. I don't remember either. Definitely, maybe. Either way, so we're going to do an EVP from one of the first residential we ever did.
And in this house, it was up in Riverton and they were seeing a black shadow figure around the house that security cameras that were, their fixed security cameras, but security cameras were up really high. Like an evolving area, they didn't burglarized and security cameras would move on their own. But as we were going through the house, I was joking with the owner. It was just me and her and a couple investigators and we're all together.
And while we were there, one of the security cameras moved, it was pointing down towards the room and when we came back up it was pointed at the ceiling. I would have required a ladder and tools to get there and move it, but it was moved. But anyways, I'm joking with the homeowner. You're going to hear me say, I'm cracking my joke about the Sam movie and you're the homeowner say, we're not going to go on a Saturday, are we?
And you're going to hear a very guttural voice say, don't want to leave here. So let's play it now. We're not going to go down the summer. No.
No. We're not really going to go down the summer. No. We're not really going to go down the summer.
No. All right, what do you think of that? Well, that's also one that we use in our detox. It is a fantastic one.
And I like to use it because it has that guttural sound. No, no, no, no, no. I can't do it. But when you get that real guttural gravelly sounds to me, those are just classic type threes.
Yeah, in my opinion, when you have that inhuman voice, you're dealing with it in human spirit. They tend to be very gravelly. Honestly, in my experience, most type three in human spirits have human voices. I've heard them very high in cartoon like and I've heard them very gravelly and guttural.
But I've never really experienced a inhuman spirit that has a regular human sounding voice. I don't know what your experience has been there, but that's been my experience. Same. Most EVPs you get are going to be whispers and they just sound like a human being whispering.
And sometimes you say, oh, that sounds like a woman. And that sounds like a man. And even within just those two categories, a woman with a higher pitch voice, a woman with a lower pitch voice. And why don't they say, hey, here's a man with a higher pitch voice.
But there's still variety within those whispers, but there's definitely a difference when you get that growl. And even sometimes you're not even whisper. Sometimes it's just like a regular human voice that it's just plain as day, but it's a voice that you could attribute to a human being. You know, it's like, oh, that sounds like it could be my neighbor.
That sounds like that could be some random guy on TV. But it definitely has a human quality. And like I said, these really guttural voices in my experience have to be type threes. When we investigate a couple of the clown, I got some really high-pitched cartoonie voices, which I think the spirit attached to purple, which is a very evil, dark, inhuman spirit, I think was intentionally trying to do a cartoon voice to go along with the doll.
It's very interesting. But anyway, so that's our EBP for this episode. Awesome. So we do have an investigation to talk about today.
It is salt air. I was not able to go because at the time I was in a lot of pain from surgery, not on a lot of drugs, not on the Oxycontin today. So you don't have high-raven like you did on the last podcast. I was telling Chad today, I said, you know, because we got in the car and some of the paperwork from the surgery was still in the car.
And I said, I don't remember getting into the car. And he said, so you would have gone home with anybody? And I was like, yeah, problem. Hey little girl wants a candy.
Anywho. And then, Castle, you weren't able to attend this particular event too. We are going to tell you about this event. Neither of us having been there.
So I had to call it. So we're going to make that off, actually, your handouts. So you're thinking, oh, great. What crap are they going to make up?
I actually had everybody that went. I said, hey, tell me what happens. We can talk about on the podcast. So one of our investigators said that their son's girlfriend had to leave the third floor when she was there.
She said that she got a really bad feeling like she wasn't supposed to be there. So she left. They had a lot of activity in Green Room 2 and something was missing with radar. Which is one of our investigators.
We had Willow and Archer say that they felt drawn to the girl's bathroom area at Saltair. They heard a knock in there and the knock is it was possibly a response to something that they had asked, but they weren't quite sure. And then they said that the vibes in the room just were really out there. And someone mentioned that there was an overdose fatality in the first floor women's bathroom third-star on the right.
One of the investigators said that she always used that stall, but she didn't know the story behind it. And she knew that she just knew that there was an entity in that bathroom. So Drake and Hail Storm heard a female scream in that same bathroom. Someone heard the phrase Raven Sad came through on one of the devices and I was like, I was definitely sad that night.
I did not feel very good. So let's see here. What else? Hail Storm had her full first body apparition.
She was upstairs on the attic talking to a spirit who said it was a man. And Aurora came around to tell everybody to rotate. And she went to tell him that they were going to move and he was gone. It was about 20 seconds.
I guess it wasn't on a device. She was actually talking to him and then gone and she can't explain him not being anymore. Willow had an experience on the second floor and she saw a shadow figure. Wow, try saying that one fast.
She actually shows what she's sure. And she realized that the windows from that floor do reflect moonlight and lights from outside onto the wall on the floor towards the stage. And she said she saw a solid figure walk all the way across the wall right to left and the first she's like, you know, but she had Archer, her husband, go and they tried to debunk it and he's six foot five. So he's a tall guy.
And she said that he was not as tall as the shadow that she saw. And she said this is the interesting thing. She said that Art's sure shadow was different, not as solid and not as dark. And I have seen a shadow figure.
My favorite shadow figure that I've seen was up at Fort Douglas and it was that we our investigation was the same night as a football game. So there's a lot of people walking around as they were leaving the football game. And you could see people and the light up there is the yellowy light, but you can see people you can see their face color by face color. I could tell if they were Caucasian or if they were African American, you could see the color on their clothes and because of the yellowish light, it was probably a little distorted, the color distorted, but I saw a shadow figure kind of back and running.
It was solid black and it was blacker than black. And the way that the movement moved, it just didn't move like a human. And so when I read this account and she said it was a darker, more solid shadow, I thought, yes, you saw a shadow figure because I know exactly what you're talking about, but they couldn't debunk it. So another one of our investigators, Tracy said that she just felt off all that, not like sick off, but just off off.
And that she was in the Maryland Manson room and she had to leave the Maryland Manson room because she just felt like she was going to be sick. And she said she went into the room that was next to it and she felt fine. And she was fine for a few minutes. She said as soon as she walked back into the Manson room, she felt sick again.
And there was another lady in that same group that said that they were experiencing the same thing. So those are, and I'm sure there's so many more accounts, so do the only ones that were shared with me, but we were so excited to get into Southaire and we're super excited to be able to go back because it's a very active venue. That's actually a lot of encounters and a lot of really neat stuff for one investigation. So that sounds like it was a smashing success.
I'm sad to be. And I love when people see their first full body apparition or their first shadow figure because it's, and to me, they're kind of one and the same. But yes, shadow figures and full body operations are my favorites and sadly, they're kind of rare. So they're pretty neat when you see one there.
They're really neat. I think it's about time for me to have one that's been a while. Yeah, same. So Arnie, well, thank you for joining us.
And if you're not a patron, Castle and I are going to be recording the bonus episode next. And the bonus episode is Myrtle's Plantation Mirror. So if you want to hear about Myrtle's Plantation Mirror and you're not a patron, hop on over to Advanced Paranormal Services and become a patron and you get bonus episodes. Keep it creepy, my friends.
Have a good night.
