Valerie Thompson - World's Fastest Female Motorcycle Racer

Our special guest for show #042 of Torque & Chatter is the World's Fastest Female Motorcycle Racer, Valerie Thompson. Valerie began her professional life in Washington state as a banker.  At this time she was riding her motorcycle on the streets and a friend convinced her take it to the track. Now fifteen odd years later, Valerie is an eight time world speed record holder and a member of the prestigious Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame. In this show we discuss with Valerie about being the first woman in the seat of the Target 550 Streamline. As a result, she could become the first woman to go over 400 mph both in a car and on a motorcycle.
