Value Proposition Quotient!

from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari

We live in a generation with people that have little or no regards for value. Everything is taken at surface value, or worse still, we prioritise the mundane over eternal. Each passing day raises a concern for the gradual but subtle eradication of true values in a mad chase of shadows. The things we pride ourselves in today were things spoken of in hushed tones a few decades ago by the dissidents in society. Then, their lifestyle dictated that such was permissible with them anyways. If you desire to understand the proposition of value in a man, delve into his mind to know how his mind works, what he thinks, what he does, the dreams and goals he's chasing and so on, and you'd be shocked to your marrows. Where true value is not known or defined, you can't groom or multiply it. You can't exchange it either for what it is worth. It is the reason thieves sell stolen goods at very ridiculously low prices. Where value is not known, unrestrained abuse kicks in! True value is not determined by numbers, but on the premium you place on it. Then also, true value is determined by whose hands it is in. A million dollars in the hands of a child or a spendaholic, who has not mastered the art of multiplying money has no economic value. It is no surprise that the one who got one talent dug the ground and hid the talent. His action wasn't based on insufficiency but on his inability to see or rightly apportion value to what he had.
