Values That Define Us - Inclusion: Sunday, March 15, 2026

This Lent, we journey together through a worship series called “Values That Define Us.” Lent has always been a season of reflection: a time to pause, to examine our hearts, and to remember who we are and whose we are. In this series, we explore five core values that shape our life together: humility, compassion, service, connection, and inclusion. These are not abstract ideals. They are practices that form us in the way of Christ. These values surfaced again and again in our recent visioning conversations. When asked what makes our community distinctive, many shared a common theme: we put the needs of our community before our own preferences. In a culture that prizes certainty and self-promotion, humility asks a different question: What does our neighbor need? It invites us to think of ourselves less so that Christ’s love can take up more space among us. From there, we turn toward compassion that moves us toward those who are hurting, service that quietly seeks the common good, connection that reminds us we belong to one another, and inclusion that reflects the wide welcome of Christ. Each episode invites you not just to listen, but to reflect: What might it mean to loosen our grip on being right? To listen more carefully? To make room? To trust that God is at work — even when we are not in control? If these truly are the values that define us, then Lent becomes more than a season. It becomes an invitation to grow in Christlikeness — together.
