Breaking news…Canada and the United States are now engaged in a full-blown trade war. Donald Trump’s 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian imports are now in effect. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada is responding with its own tariffs on billions of dollars worth of American goods. Trump had previously promised to increase his tariffs if Canada retaliated. Markets initially dropped on Monday in advance of the levies coming into effect at midnight.
