Vanity serves no purpose. Arrogance, conceit, and pride are human characteristics. Pursuing wealth and worldly recognition is empty (Ecclesiastes 2). Being steadfast and abounding in the work of the Lord, as stated in I Corinthians 15:58, is seen as humble service to God, contrasting with vanity. What's life all about?
