Dashcam maker VanTrue has announced the Pilot 2 that is the first to use thermal imaging with three channel high resolution video recorfding. It is designed to not only see clearly in front, the rear and the interior…it can also see heat…to identify pedestrians and animals through darkness and fog. VanTrue’s George Chen..“When driving at night or in heavy foggy weather, rain or storm, it’s very dangerous because the visibility is not that good. When the driver drives at night or in the heavy fog weather, if there is some animal or people in front of the road, the thermal imaging camera can detect it.”The Vantrue Pilot 2 will be on Kickstarter in early spring.
