Collecting and playing vinyl since the late 80's he has ridden the wave of many changes in musical styles and technologies, one fact has always been common in his music and that is he tends towards the deep, darker side of sounds. Gavin was the resident Saturday night DJ for the seminal Melbourne club OneSixOne for the opening two years, also holding residencies at Melbourne club stalwarts Saratoga and P.O.W. Now more commonly known as DJ Dad he has forged a healthy following via Mixcloud due to the quality of music he chooses to play and the inate ability to uncover new music whilst fresh.
