VAULT Amber Shirey: The Pillar of a Program

This week on the Hog Pod, we're opening the Vault to celebrate and honor one of the most important figures in Arkansas Women's Basketball history as she begins a new chapter. We're bringing back Episode 95, "Amber Shirey: The Pillar of a Program." And few titles have ever fit better. Amber Shirey has been a part of Razorback Women's Basketball since 1988—first as a player, then as an assistant coach, and later as director of operations. Over 39 years, she's served under seven head coaches and helped shape generations of Razorbacks, leaving an impact that extends far beyond wins and losses. As Amber departs Arkansas for a new opportunity, we wanted to revisit this conversation and celebrate a remarkable career spent serving the Razorbacks. It's a story about loyalty, leadership, and a legacy that will be felt throughout the program for years to come.
