Bij VDL Nedcar rollen vandaag de laatste auto's van de band. Na bijna 60 jaar stopt de productie van auto's in de fabriek. Gisteren is de hoofdlijn stilgelegd en vandaag worden op drie kleinere lijnen nog Mini’s afgewerkt. Dat melden Limburgse media. Het einde van de autoproductie in Born komt niet onverwacht. VDL wil nog mensen aan het werk houden in de hoop een nieuwe opdrachtgever te strikken, maar dat laatste lijkt voorlopig niet te gebeuren. Verder in de auto-update: De RB20 is onthuld.
