August 23 - 29: SHINE A LIGHTMercury’s entrance to Leo defines the week ahead as the trio of Mercury, Sun, and Ketu enliven the nakshatra of Magha, the first part of the Sun’s sign of Leo. With the upcoming bookend of the eclipse cycle on deck in the coming week, we begin to ascend out of the detritus of deconstructing illusions and toward an illuminating moment that may reveal the next steps forward after a radical change that was both unexpected and unwanted.Rahu’s aspect on active Mars loosens this week as Jupiter’s aspect to retrograde Saturn tightens, shifting our attention away from risky expenditures and reactive action toward sustainable, future-facing choices that feel nurturing and viable. In retrospect, an interesting feature of last week was Jupiter advancing to the final nakshatra of Cancer, Ashlesha, where he encountered Mercury, who happens to share an association with the serpent energy of Ashlesha through planetary rulership. Jupiter will traverse Ashlesha through October, which could cause educational trajectories, healing journeys, and divine connections to move swiftly.With the lunar eclipse energy dominating the week as the Moon joins Rahu and opposes the Sun, Ketu, and Mercury trio in Leo, we are pushed to the brink, which while shocking, unsettling, and dizzying, may also give us the next clue on our road to find out. The Moon and Rahu join in Dhanistha nakshatra, awakening a primal internal rhythm that draws us toward true desires, while the Sun, Ketu, and Mercury trio in Magha reveals the inherited patterns, barriers, and costs that may ask for our attention in the near future. This is the tension between what we have inherited and what we actually want to carry forward.As the eclipse temporarily interrupts momentum, we get a chance to shine a light into that space and notice what remains when the noise falls away. This week is less about forcing a breakthrough than allowing something to become visible. We push forward until the eclipse asks us to stop, and then we don’t necessarily rush to replace what we’ve just released. Moon opposes exalted Jupiter, bringing hope for overcoming a difficult situation through a combination of wisdom and strength. Mercury passes Ketu, allowing a break that could signal access to easier progress.Wednesday Aug 26: LIGHTEN LOAD. Capricorn /Sravana, S14.  Burgeoning clarity with Jupiter opposite Moon and Jupiter’s aspect to retrograde Saturn honing in. Where is the fertile growth available? What burden can you release?Thursday Aug 27: SOFT STOP. Aquarius/Dhanistha, S15. Lunar eclipse that pauses momentum temporarily allowing for re-syncing of energies. Friday Aug 28: CREATIVE TRIAGE. Aquarius /Shatabishak, K1. Newly acquired eclipse understanding forces immediate reckoning as we weigh immediate costs in existing or ongoing projects.Saturday Aug 29: REGAIN DIRECTION.
