This episode explores how white veganism reproduces racism, colonialism, and Zionism. Dr. Leila and Rayan critique the appropriation of food, the marginalisation of BIPOC vegans, and how mainstream veganism prioritises whiteness, consumerism, and neo-colonial Zionism. They highlight how ex-vegans often shift toward Zionism and the far right, questioning whether such individuals were ever committed to the liberation of human and non-human animals. Cultural appropriation, tokenism, and complicity with oppressive institutions are also discussed.
