Vegas Heat Wave Hits Record Levels | Las Vegas News

Vegas is bracing for a brutal heatwave with temps hitting 105-110 degrees in the valley and even hotter in Death Valley—thanks to a high-pressure system pushing back summer’s grip. After an already record-breaking August (average 96.3°F, hottest day on Aug 1 at 115°F) and a third-warmest July, monsoon season has delivered almost zero rain, missing September’s typical third-inch average. A brief cooldown over the weekend won’t last: highs are climbing back into the upper 90s and low 100s, inching toward early September records. Buckle up—this late-season furnace is no joke.
