Vegas Heatwave Finally Breaks | Las Vegas News

Vegas just survived a brutal heatwave—three straight record-breaking days with temps hitting 107°, narrowly missing the 2019 record of 110°—thanks to a lucky cloud cover that brought a much-needed cooldown. With four extreme heat warnings in just one month, this summer’s been relentless. But relief is on the way: a coastal weather system is set to slash temps to the 100s this weekend, then into the 90s next week—after a scorching peak of 115° earlier this month. Meanwhile, the monsoon season has been a ghost this year, leaving the valley bone dry despite a slightly wetter August—July was completely rainless.
