Vegas Heatwave Warning and What’s Next | Las Vegas News

Vegas is bracing for a brutal heatwave with an Extreme Heat Warning in effect today, pushing temps to 106°F — just shy of the all-time record set in 1945. Even if we don’t break that mark, this heat is far from normal for this time of year. Highs will stay scorching through Friday and Saturday, then dip slightly into the upper 90s by Sunday. Gusty 30+ mph southwest winds could hit Lake Mead and Mohave, possibly reaching 40 mph. While monsoon moisture lingers, bringing stormy clouds over the mountains, actual rain isn’t expected until Tuesday-Wednesday next week — with only a 10% chance even then. Stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure, and prepare for a slow cooldown. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
