Velazquez’s Triple-Homer Streak | Cleveland Guardians News

Ralphy Velazquez just exploded with a three-homer night against major league pitchers, joining Cooper Ingle as the only Guardians prospects to hit three homers in a game this season. The No. 2 prospect in the system is on fire this August, leading all minor and major leaguers with 14 home runs — five more than anyone else — while slashing .381/.458/1.000 with an OPS over 1500. He also homered in both games of a doubleheader just days prior. With the Guardians near the bottom in offense and rosters expanding for the postseason, Velazquez’s monster run could be exactly what Cleveland needs to turn things around.
