Of course, being below nature's concern is not to say that we don't shape the world around us. While Amylte will never deign to acknowledge us, the land and life upon it certainly do. We see our past and our present written in rivers of scattered stones and lavender sprinkled throughout the sea of grasses. We are, even often rightly, self-concerned creatures.
