Velotilt-Lean into those turns!

from Laidback Bike Report · host Gary Solomon

Mike Lecka is a serious velomobile designer from North Carolina. He tells me he's always been so hard working that he "quit school because of recess"! Check him out yourself as we chat about his latest project called Velotilt-an original Dutch designed tilting velomobile which he has taken over from designer and founder Wim Schermer and plans to develop commercially. We begin with a presentation by Wim on the original project concept from Holland and then Mike will take us through his many upgrades and design updates he has in mind. Helping us with this discussion will be Recumbents.com owner Warren Beauchamp and our own Doug Davis. In addition Tray Bourgoyne updates us on Randy Ridings who is on the last leg of his amphibious Trans-Am journey in his Quadyak. Larry Seidman has a  report on bent participants in the recent Nebraska Senior Games and we finish up with viewer submissions which include updating an old Rans Rocket in South Africa and a clever home built trike/bike rack on wheels on the cheap.00:00:00  Intro00:00:59  What’s on Today’s Show00:03:00  Panel Introduction00:05:30  Sponsor Introduction00:06:55  Randy Ridings Quadyak Trans-Am update with Tray Bourgoyne00:13:40  Velotilt tilting trike-Origins with Wim Schermer00:48:11  Velotilt tilting trike-Coming to America with Mike Lecka01:26:43  Nebraska Senior Games 2020 with Larry Seidman01:30:40  Sponsor Thanks01:32:00  Viewer Submission-Ferg builds a Bike/Trike rack for 401:33:10  Viewer Submission-Derek Pirie reclaims an old Rans Rocket in South Africa01:35:09  Viewer Submission-Brad Albee raising money for diabetes01:36:40  Announcements-BentCon 202001:38:45  Coming up next month01:39:29  How you can support the Laidback Bike ReportWe would love to have you as a Patreon Patron where you can support all we do for as little as $1/month.
