Venerable John the Long-Suffering and Venerable Pambo of the Kiev Caves

Today we remember two venerable monks of the Kiev Caves Lavra: John the Long-Suffering and Pambo the Recluse. Saint John endured great struggles with fleshly passions and found victory through prayer and asceticism. We also honor Hieromonk Pambo, who suffered captivity for his faith and was miraculously returned to his cell, where he lived out his days in seclusion. Both saints show us the power of endurance and faithfulness in the monastic life.Support the show
