As the United States empire prepares to confront the Venezuelan people in a conflict for their resources under the guise of promoting 'democracy', Miss Koffi reminds us that the democracy the United States and its lackeys speak of is in fact not very democratic at all. Every four or five years, the populations of the bourgeois democracies are permitted to vote for a new leader or government, but the oppression that occurs in the workplace of capitalists exploiting workers remains intact. When workers inevitably become disgruntled with their conditions, this elected leader is served to them as the sources of their anguish which effectively vindicates the true source: the exploiters at the workplace. On the other hand and contradicting the pervasive propaganda of the US, Venezuela is presenting a shining example of what a grass-roots democracy is like and how our countries can follow suit.
