The current crisis in Venezuela is about democracy, economy and security. Poverty, scarcity, and human rights abuses are increasing, while social indicators are plummeting. Is there a peaceful, democratic way out of this crisis? Edgardo Lander is Professor of sociology at the Central University of Caracas, and one of the leading thinkers and writers on the left in Venezuela.
