Verlander Out Again for Tigers

Justin Verlander’s return to Comerica Park got sidelined again—this time with a left hamstring strain after a bullpen session, pushing his comeback from weeks, not days. Already sidelined since April with hip inflammation, the 43-year-old ace, signed for $13M, hasn’t looked sharp in his lone outing this season, surrendering five runs in under four innings. With Sunday’s start against the White Sox now going to rookie righty Keider Montero, the Tigers’ plans hit a major curveball. Fans hoping for a homecoming are left waiting as Verlander’s road back to form stretches on. Support the show:Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
