Vermont Election Day Guide | Montpelier News

Vermont’s Election Day is November 3rd — vote early by mail or in person before then, or head to your polling place on Election Day. If you get a mail-in ballot, bring it if you vote in person. You must be a U.S. citizen over 18 living in Vermont to vote. If registered, your ballot arrives automatically; otherwise, register online, by mail, or in person at your town clerk’s office — bring ID for first-time registrants. Early voting ends Nov. 2; mail ballots must be received by then. Late registrants can still request a ballot in person or online and mail it back (allow at least a week). Polls open morning hours and close at 7 PM on Election Day — find your location via the Secretary of State’s website. If you have a mail ballot but vote in person, bring it or sign a statement confirming you haven’t already voted.
