Veronica Mars, S03E09- Spit & Eggs

Thank you to Agnes for commissioning this episode, and thank you to Rachel for commissioning the live watch! I'm really glad that it looks like the rape storyline is pretty much over, and I'm very interested in this new murder plot that has started up. It came as quite a surprise and there are a lot of players in the Dean's storyline that could potentially have killed him, so this should be really interesting. In terms of the way the rape storyline wrapped up, I didn't find it too satisfying, which I think is only to be expected considering the misgivings I've had all season. I just don't think Mercer as a character was particularly well-drawn, I think his motivations felt like a caricature, and they really muddied the waters with the militant feminazis faking some of the rapes. That said, I'm looking forward to where things go from here and I just hope that Weevil doesn't get caught up in the crossfire.
