C’est désormais officiel, la SNCF a annoncé avoir commandé ses premiers trains hybrides électrique/hydrogène auprès du constructeur Alstom. Douze trains sont donc en cours de fabrication pour une facture s’élevant à près de 200 millions d'euros. Ces appareils baptisés « Coradia Polyvalent H2 » circuleront dans quatre régions seulement, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-France-Comté, Grand Est et Occitanie, laissant le Nord, le Centre et l'Ouest de la France orphelin de ces solutions de transports vert.
