Episode 19: Emjay Mendez There is order in chaos. No matter what type of chaos you have, there will be some sort of order--being present is part of that order. I have known this guy since 2014-ish and I am so glad we met: we were at a TFK (The Future Kingz) workshop out in Bartlett and he asked me if I was Filipino and if I was a nurse. After saying yes, he asked me to guess how old he was. I was wrong. Boom. We kept talking that night and we kept seeing each other in a lot of dance workshops throughout the Chicago dance community (before I was in it). I have seen this boy grow to be a young man, from our struggles in Monday night with Monyett to performing together for Daily Center. We have been through a lot, and I am so excited for you, the audience, to have an insight as to what one of my best friend and I regularly talk about.
