Just weeks after Long Island Serial Killer suspect Rex Heuermann was arrested in connection to the killing of three women near Gilgo Beach, authorities announced a groundbreaking new discovery in another murder victim. The remains discovered in 1996 of a woman who had long been dubbed "Fire Island Jane Doe" have now been identified as Karen Vergata.
