Victor Garber of "ALIAS" and "ARGO"

from The Buzz - BuzzWorthy Radio · host The Buzz - BuzzWorthy Radio

Victor Garber stars in the new NBC drama, “Deception,” where he plays the role of Robert Bowers. The CEO of Bowers Pharmaceuticals, Robert definitely stands his ground as the patriarch of the Bowers family. Secrets begin to be exposed surrounding the death of Robert’s daughter, Vivian, as well as the Bowers family. Victor explained what drives the character of Robert to do what he does:“I think Robert is desperately trying to keep his family together, and some of the actions he takes are more than questionable. Like all people who do bad things, they justify them because they think it is the best thing for everybody. Often times, it isn’t.”Victor continued to speak about Robert’s relationship with wife, Sofia:“I think they are a team. I think he really loves her, and they raised their child as their own. She actually is his daughter’s child, and his intentions were to make it the best for her and Sofia. They are a little like the Macbeths. They can get into some serious trouble.”Victor was recently seen in the motion picture film “Argo,” where he played Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor. The film has received two Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award, and most recently, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for Adapted Screenplay.“It’s a brilliant screenplay, and I’m so happy. It’s been the most amazing movie to be involved with. It keeps getting all of this attention, and people seem to love this movie. Everywhere I go, they are unequivocal. They just love it. I think it is a really great film, and I was glad to be a part of it.”Download the full podcast with Victor Garber where he talks about working with John Larroquette in the series, plus also being a part of the J.J. Abrams “Star Trek” movie as a Klingon.
