Victory Over Depression: A Devotional Depression can feel like an unending storm, but we are not without hope. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God promises to be near us in our lowest moments. When we feel overwhelmed, His presence is a refuge, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Victory over depression begins with surrender. We don't need to have it all together to approach God—He welcomes us as we are. Through prayer, scripture, and community, God can lift the heaviness from our hearts. While recovery may be a journey, remember that God is with us every step. His peace transcends understanding and can guard our hearts (Philippians 4:7). Lean into His promises, trust His timing, and know that through Christ, victory over depression is not just possible; it is promised.
