Vienna Lager - The Jamil Show 06-30-08

Homebrewing beer. An episode broadcast live from the National Homebrew Competition! Unfortunately Jamil was still at home, with pneumonia. But fear not... Doctor Scot, Ray Daniels, Jon Plise, and Justin Crosley host the show in his absence. Vienna lager is similar to Oktoberfest, but with a lighter malt character overall. It is still decidedly balanced toward malt and characterized by a soft, elegant maltiness that dries out in the finish to avoid becoming sweet. A great beer style and this show includes several recipes for making a winning version.
