The answer to this question, is ABSOLUTELY. Not only are they still relevant,  but in our opinion, they are more relevant today than ever before. Why? People are still opening their doors, they're still checking their mailboxes, and these days, people are getting less and less physical mail, so your piece will stand out that much more.
