Vijay Prashad - On The Edge of Geopolitical Madness

In this episode of The Source, our leading editor Zain Raza speaks with historian and author Vijay Prashad about the rapidly changing global order following the US-Israeli war against Iran. They examine Tehran’s new negotiating position, the shifting balance of power in West Asia and why Prashad believes conflicts from Iran to Ukraine are becoming increasingly interconnected. The conversation also turns to Gaza, Israel’s political crisis, the rise of anti-war and socialist candidates in the United States, Venezuela after Maduro, and the escalating war in Ukraine. Finally, Prashad assesses Germany’s accelerating militarisation, Europe’s confrontation with Russia and whether the world is moving toward a far more dangerous phase.
